Purpose and Content

The purpose of this symposium is to bring together scientists that are interested in different dimensions of air pollution, all related sectors about air pollution, students and people working in the fields of decision-making and control. The symposium also aims to create a platform for discussion to find the best solutions.

In this context, symposia were organized in the past years under the leadership of Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution Research and Control, hosted by different universities in 1997, 2001, 2005 and 2012 at international level, also in 1999, 2003, 2008 and 2010 at national level. 2013 has been declared as “Clean Air Year” and this year’s symposium will be hosted by Anadolu University. The symposium will take place during September 18-20, 2013 with international participation.

During the symposium the latest developments on scientific and technical issues related to air quality, as well as administrative, legal and social issues will be presented and discussed. The symposium aims to create possibilities for increased interaction for interdisciplinary and transdiciplinary studies for all interested parties.
